New Venda Anorak

Built for what’s to come

Arc’teryx commissioned three photographers to offer their own interpretation of the Venda Anorak. Through this intersection of innovation and expression, the style and versatility of the Venda Anorak was able to come in to focus.

Photographer: Mikael Kennedy

Mikael Kennedy is drawn to expressing simple color, shape and pattern recognition in his photography. What first caught his attention with the Venda Anorak was the silhouette.

It created a visual story of sci-fi references; less literal and more fantastical. He set out to capture the way the fabric in the Anorak responded to movement, to the light.

Photographer: Clément Pascal

New York City-based French photographer Clement Pascal decided to explore the versatility of the Venda Anorak through the lens of a working female filmmaker.

Showing the anorak in action stroke is important to understand the ways it can be worn throughout everyday, mixing fashion and true function.
